The launch of the AEO Marketing Events Forum

The launch of the AEO Marketing Events ForumIn 2006 the Association of Exhibition Organisers (AEO) launched a forum for marketers within the event industry. Dawson Walker provided marketing consultancy and support for the event through their client ASP Events who sponsored the forum.

With a wealth of experience in promoting events and conferences, Dawson Walker created an online and email marketing campaign using the ASP Events e-marketing technology, as well as contributing to the forum committee meetings.

Following some initial market research it was clear that there was demand for the event, however it was essential to get the programme content and the pitch right to encourage busy people out of the office for the day.

As a launch event the AEO aimed for 50 delegates as a basis for growth in the future. Over 250 eventually attended and the event proved to be a great success, which is sure to be repeated.
