Shemesh Automation Product Launch

Citadel Product Launch

Challenge

Established in 1990, Shemesh Automation is a private equity-backed business with over 30 years’ experience in delivering automated packaging solutions to major manufacturers around the world. They approached Oyster for help with a product launch for their new packaging machine, the Citadel.

With a focus on manufacturing liquid filling, capping, sealing and labelling machines, Shemesh’s solutions are used across a wide range of industries including pharmaceuticals & biotech, food & beverage, cosmetics and chemicals.

Following the successful launch of their Xpander packaging machine with Oyster, they approached us again for help with their Citadel product launch at PPMA, the UK’s largest event for processing equipment, packaging machinery, industrial robots and machine vision systems. The Citadel was a brand-new packaging machine and the client wanted a centrepiece for their exhibition stand to ensure the new product received maximum attention from both the media and exhibition attendees. In addition to raising awareness of the new product, the ultimate goal was to generate orders for the Citadel.

Solution

We created a highly engaging 3D rendered movie featuring a fly-through of the Citadel in action which was shown on a huge screen in the centre of their exhibition stand to launch the product with maximum impact.

The 3D model was animated to provide a detailed fly-through of the machines capability. Each station was meticulously modelled to ensure clarity and purpose.

This promotional movie was also used on their company website and YouTube with stills from the 3D model was rendered in high resolution to be used in its supporting product brochure, maximising ROI on the project. While we were putting the movie together, the CAD model had to be rendered in perfect working order, at this state we identified some errors with Shemesh’s prototype machine which enabled the client to correct the issues before the machine went into production saving costs post sales.

result

The result was a striking and eye-catching product launch movie that drew hundreds of potential leads to the stand.

The movie became the centrepiece of the Shemesh Automations exhibition stand featuring on a large 3m LED screen.

A large amount of press coverage was generated for the product in key trade press and, most importantly, Shemesh secured multiple orders for the Citadel during the show which far exceeded their expectations.
