We love a retail branding challenge so we were in our element when we were asked to come up with a unique, distinct brand name and logo to target the youth market
Bubble tea is an exciting soft drink that is popular in the Far East and Europe and we were tasked to help bring it to market in the UK. The brand was initially launching in a store in Cambridge, with an eye to expanding nationally by opening more cafés, bars and kiosks so the retail branding ideas we developed had to be sufficiently flexible to work in different spaces.
OOSHI is based on the Japanese word ‘oishii’ meaning tasty and is a fun, quirky name with clear standout from competitor brands in the marketplace
Enjoying your first bubble tea is a unique taste sensation, like stepping into a whole new world, and we built the brand logo and copy tone of voice around the fun vibe of sharing the experience with friends. Our colourful illustrative design solution included a unique set of characters, each reflecting a taste or sensation, who live in the world of ‘bubble tea’, creating innovative and flexible marketing opportunities.
Oyster was involved in the design and development of the launch marketing across a wide range of collateral and the bright bold nature of the creative was extremely successful.
The end result was a fantastically fun retail branding project with a colourful logo and brand image that reflected the product offering and appealed to a younger demographic
The logo, graphics and supporting marketing collateral were vibrant, colourful and fresh and really brought the brand to life throughout the Cambridge shop. The store received a high number of visitors within the first few weeks of opening and received lots of positive feedback from their customers. The success of their first shop encouraged Ooshi to open a second shop in Great Yarmouth.
