Our challenge is to regularly update the CLPA’s brochures, ensuring that the technical content is clearly conveyed in each language, while maintaining the brochures’ clean and uncluttered appearance.
The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) is a global organisation that promotes open industrial networking technologies for Industry 4.0. In recent years, Oyster has designed and printed a wide range of multilingual brochures and white papers for the CLPA to explain their cutting-edge solutions.
Each brochure contains extremely technical information and numerous diagrams that are regularly updated to remain accurate and authoritative within the market and to ensure that the messaging is up to date. Moreover, each brochure or white paper is produced in multiple languages: English, German and Italian. As part of our role, we organise the translations, ensuring the copy is then cross-checked by in-country technical experts to confirm that the translated text is grammatically and technically correct and conveys the right messaging.
Localising the brochures for each trade show enables the CLPA to rise above their competitors and build trust among their target audiences. The international trade shows and events the CLPA participates in include events in Germany and Italy where an abundance of literature is handed out to prospective customers.
The multilingual brochures and white papers are updated on a regular basis. The client notifies us of the required updates including key statistics, diagram changes and copy edits. In addition to liaising with translators, laying out the approved translated copy and redesigning intricate diagrams, we are often required to redesign the front covers to reflect the ever-changing technology, as well as adding new brochures and white papers to the portfolio as required.
Once the design and artwork has been completed, we organise the printing on a high-quality stock to ensure all the images and detailed diagrams are clear and impactful, as well as supplying digital downloads to add to the CLPA’s website.
The end result is an array of extremely powerful marketing materials that communicate the key messages about the CLPA’s technologies, to a wide European audience and beyond.
This focus on localisation demonstrates the international nature of the industrial automation industry and how the CLPA serves the needs of the global markets in which it operates, instilling confidence and trust in their target audiences.
