To deliver Think Learning’s vision of an exhibition stand design that demands attention
Think Learning, a compliance, e-commerce and digital learning company tasked Oyster to concept and produce an exhibition stand for the Learning Technologies show that would achieve prominence in a crowded market place. The focus of the stand was several demonstration zones to help sell their digital solutions to prospective clients. The event coincided with May 4th, a date that resonates with sci-fi fans, including many of Think Learning’s own staff.
‘Scandi-chic’ arbor-style posts with prominent demonstration plinths highlighted with LED lighting
Our design studio began by concepting exhibition stand designs, realising each vision in life-like 3D renders. Early designs incorporated pages from an open book, combined with the desire to have clean and natural ‘Scandi-chic’ elements. These became wood-effect arbor posts, with lighting to illuminate the stand.
Three display plinths were used as the focus of the stand, placed strategically to the front, while colour-coded LED lights framed the base of each plinth, two of which housed large iMac screens.
To add an element of character and humour, Star Wars’ icons were designed and placed in Think Learning’s branding ‘bubbles’.
The 3D renders helped the client plan their event, ensuring their staff had sufficient space to demonstrate their software and hold meetings with prospective clients.

A standout design that ranked #2 in the “Which company stood out the most for you at the show today?” exit poll
Despite strong competition from larger stands, Think Learning was voted 2nd place in an exit poll of exhibition visitors who were asked which company stood out most. An excellent result.
Our client was impressed with Oyster’s commitment to delivering a perfect stand, and overseeing the on-site build. This helped Think Learning focus on show preparation instead, relieving what once had been a very stressful time with previous shows. Staff were especially pleased with the Star Wars iconography which added a humorous touch of character to the stand on May the 4th (be with you…)!
The stand helped attract a large number of visitors, many of whom became healthy leads, making the show Think Learning’s most successful yet.
